4 Dividend Portfolio Boosters for February
Published Wednesday, January 25th, 8AM ET
As a bonus, on Wednesdays we apply our Stock Watchlist Weekly proprietary algorithm to a specific theme or category that traders and investors might want to consider. As with the primary Sunday newsletter, these lists include stocks that have been screened through an array of fundamental and technical data points to find the top ones with market-beating short- and long-term potential.
Analysis: This week we altered the parameters of the Stock Watchlist Weekly proprietary algorithm to generate a list of potential solid dividend portfolio investments you might want to look at. Specifically, this search was limited to these requirements:
1) Dividend Achiever (stocks with a minimum of 10 consecutive years of dividend payment increase).
2) Quarterly dividend payments and a current dividend yield of 3% or higher.
3) Next Ex-Div Date in February (any shares you own before the ex-div date will entitle you to the next dividend payout round, typically 1-3 weeks later).
4) The final list must all be stocks in different sectors.
Beyond that, the proprietary algorithm processed and ranked them as follows.
This week’s list:
XOM - Exxon Mobil Corp
Sector/Industry: Energy - Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels
